I think we need to share the love with Malloy and Pryor–I mean, ed reform has been going on for years in the K-12 system, so we are used to the tactics that seem to have upset the Community colleges and CSUs. They’ll be patting kids on the head and smirking for photo-ops in Norwich (don’t we hope Adamowski joins them? The silver mercedes will look so glittering behind the school bus). Be sure to go over and vote for the Super (you can grade her). She’s failing at a faster rate than last time she got graded.
Can’t we go back and see Adamowski’s grifting and grasping? I bet he got his bonuses. After all, he got his legal problems wiped clean and his a** wiped, courtesy of the former Mayor. The one who’s now in jail. Funny how some people get jail, and some get bonuses.
As for Austin, UConn just named a big building after him. No one ever explained why, especially as it’s the Liberarl Arts building. It seems that, besides what Jonathan notes, Austin was all about big contracts, getting a job for wifey before divorcing her, moving to Farmington, and other such acts. Oh, and the football team. I don’t see much commitment to the liberal arts or to education in any of this, do you?

I had a similar reaction when I read the article re Austin’s assignment. Actually, first it was “Wait, what?” Then it was, “You’ve GOT to be kidding me.”
