The “pilot” districts are really under a gun.

I still don’t have them for my kids. And, being the cynic that I am, I’m suspicious that the state is doing something underhanded and that’s why they are delayed. :)

The new laws, if extended through the state and not just to the schools piloting them now, will radically change teaching statewide, so that our kids know very little besides what’s on the tests. Shelton is reportedly REQUIRING two more standardized tests per quarter, already, for example. That’s also why charters are so intent that they be used — you can quite nearly teach to these tests and look considerably better than you are.
