This is why Democrats have to be driven from office – all of them. They just spend, spend, spend, and tax, tax, tax. CT’s economy is deep in the ditch thanks to Obama’s ‘recovery’ policies and between Malloy and the rest of the state’s Democrat mayors, they keep spending money that we don’t have. Send and borrow, spend and borrow, spend and borrow. There’s no end to the insanity.

The state already has the highest per-capita debt in the nation and Democrat spendthrifts like Finch, Malloy, DeStefano, Segarra and all the rest of the Dem’s keep digging the hole deeper.

CT’s per-capita debt is already over $40k for every man, woman and child, and when you adjust that figure to correspond to a per-family basis (for the families that still actually pay taxes) it amounts to roughly 200~220k per family.

And they keep spending? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

No more Democrats – not even if they’re only running for Dog Catcher.

No chance of keeping the guidance counselors or not getting rid of the aides instead? Schools need more people who work directly with kids. We have enough suits. Top heavy…bottom weary.

This law school grad and experienced staffer from a New Jersey big city sounds like he’s qualified for the job. I say congratulations to the city of Bridgeport for finding this person. I do not mind that he is not from CT. Put yourself in the private sector – you’d also hire the best no matter where they are from. Best in your new job!

I recently spoke with a long-time friend whose 26 yr old daughter recently passed the Mass. bar. And the only job she could find was as a legal secretary. And statistics reveal that there is 1 lawyer per 300 citizens in the U.S.

I guess six-figure jobs are not that easy to come by for young lawyers such as the new Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Education and Youth Policy of Bridgeport.

How much more, people?

And I bet that we have are seeing only the tip of the iceberg.

Who can we trust to put the public good ahead of their personal interest?

Our state and local elected officials?

Their appointees?

And their appointees?

Our union leaders?

It’s much deeper than public education. Our political system right, left, and centrist is above transparency and accountability at all levels and branches of government.

What you are suggesting is getting more and more to be the only option to stop the political patronage and cronyism in public education. We citizens need to stop those who seem to think that they can do whatever they want from public office. Good point.
