I’m still wondering why I, who sat in the dark for 12 days and nights, am not eligible for any kind of CL&P rebate, even though I had to throw out all my food (twice! for both storms!), while folks in Avon and the Farmington Valley, where the chief of CL&P used to reside, got $150 credits on their electric bills for losing power for fewer days.
I guess eastern Connecticut is always f&*$ and forgotten in this state.
And no, I did not qualify for food aid!

It does make one nostalgic for John Rowland… hot tubs, summer homes–it didn’t take much imagination to relate to such familiar venality.
But high fences? Security systems? Going after single mothers over FEMA-food aid? Dannel must be concealing some pretty awful vices.

The think you can say about Rich is that he believes what he says and he says what he believes. True I don’t always agree with him. In fact, sometimes I rarely agree with him, but when I do agree with him I agree with him a lot!. But more importantly, in an era when you can’t even figure out what some people are saying, I appreciate that we’ve got someone (on the other side of a number of debates) who’ll is clear and concise. In this case he is full of crap but… I mean it Rich, thanks for taking the time to put your thoughts down. I actually read every single comment you make – always gets me thinking a little deeper.
